I would like to know if i can upgrade my cpu and what it wil take to do so?

I currently have a 5000 series Compaq with a intel celeron processor 633Mgz, I would like to upgrade to a Celeron III cpu. Both have PGA 370 sockets. I know how to change the CPU But my question is will they interchange without causing problems? Though, just make sure your current processor supports your current memory timings.
