Atuo car changed to 5 speed. engine CPU needs to be changed, advice...?

ok so i got this 97 civic from this guy, it was an atuo car changed to a 5 speed. casue it was changed the atuo CPU was still in there and it would give out the check engine light and other bad codes that wouldnt let it pass inspection. so i got my hands on a 5 speed CUP for the car. but i cant just plug it in. i gotta re wire the stuff in order to plug it in. if i take this to a shop how much am i looking at, or can i do it myself?Atuo car changed to 5 speed. engine CPU needs to be changed, advice...?Depends on what ecu you pulled from and what tranny ur running on a certain engine.

maybe this can help http://hondaswap.com/reference-materialsAtuo car changed to 5 speed. engine CPU needs to be changed, advice...?post up what motor it is and what ecu your trying to useAtuo car changed to 5 speed. engine CPU needs to be changed, advice...?If you get a service manual, you could probably do it yourself. Otherwise I have no idea how much a shop would charge, as I'm sure each shop would charge a different amount. You could try contacting a few places online who make ECU conversion harnesses (like www.rywire.com or www.boomslang.us) and asking them if they can make a conversion harness for you.

Another option would be to get another harness from a '96-'98 manual transmission Civic (not the HX though), and swap over the harness. If you end up doing the work yourself, swapping the harness will be far easier than having to rewire the ECU plugs.
