Fried CPU How to diagnose?

How can you diagnose a fried CPU?

two pc's both home builds One just stopped working a while ago. It powers on but no display. This happened on a hot day I left it on all day when I came home the monitor would not come on

Yesterday my other PC's display stopped working. It still boots up but will sporadically either restart or the display shuts off. I have tested the graphic cards in both machines They still work fine, the monitor as well. I did get a error on POST which said Ratio change was incorrect. The cpu is not over-clocked %26amp; is set to fail-safe. For cooling there is three additional fans installed and the CPU has never reached over 50 C that I know of. Which is why I am so confused BUT is was pretty hot yesterday

Is this f***er fried too?Fried CPU How to diagnose?sounds to me you have more then one problem. sounds like your ram and your graphic card is not being set approprietlly and i dont think it is because your settings in the bios. i think it is your motherboard is dieing. I would try to reflash the bios with a different version see if that fixes it . If not also check to see if the power supply is getting and overage of voltages and is shutting off because of it. i think it is the motherboard. so give the bios a flash because it sounds like it is not configuring any of components right at all. and that may be the cause of your components allready being fried or going to get fried by every restart of the computer. good luckFried CPU How to diagnose? The easiest way to test a CPU, is take yours out and set it in a know working MOBO that has the same socket type. On boot up as you test, go straight to the BIOS settings, if nothing comes on it's died but if it the BIOS displays your problem will be elswhere, could be 1 of many things.
