Compaq Presario v2555, how do i change fan settings or ram,cpu settings to lower heat?

I have a compaq presario v2555us. I upgraded the ram. Now when i play games the laptop gets really hot. Is there a way to change the fan to blow faster to cool it. One thing to check is the voltage rating of the memory versus what you have set in the BIOS. If it is too high for the rating, it will cause overheating.
