How do I change the CPU-Socket in order to make the Comp. faster?

You can change a cpu, but the socket is determined by your motherboard, so you can't change the socket as easily. How do I change the CPU-Socket in order to make the Comp. faster?buy a faster cpu that support your motherboardHow do I change the CPU-Socket in order to make the Comp. faster?Change the CPU socket or just the CPU chip? The socket is press fitted and/or soldered in to the board. It would be very hard to replace it since you probably don't have a 12 ton press. You would also need the schematics for the PCB itself to know what the pinout for the socket would be. I seriously doubt you would find schematics for the circuitry of the PCB.

If it's just the CPU chip itself, read the user manual that came with your motherboard to see what the maximum it can take is. What kind of motherboard/CPU do you have?
